Timber export, Kwila (Intsia), Rosewood (Pterocarpus) and many other hardwoods.
We operate at two resource areas.
Baimuru lies along the southern coast of the New Guinea mainland in the Gulf Province is an established sawmill. Timber is harvested entirely by the villagers and delivered to the sawmill on log rafts where it is measured and the appropriate fee paid out. The harvesting and selling of timber to the Baimuru Sawmill remains one of the few means for the villagers to obtain cash for important payments such as school fees for their children.
Baimuru Sawmill can produce “orders to suit” for the PNG market as well as export.
Ramu resource lies mostly along the river situated in the Madang Province on the North Coast. This project is designed to make a minimum impact on the environment. Portable camps and sawmills will be used and the sites cleaned of all remnants after the timber resource has been selectively cut. As for the Baimuru Sawmill, we work very closely with the PNG Department of Forestry and the villagers to ensure minimum disruption both short and long term.
Ramu has a predominance of Kwila (Intsia) suitable for export and production will be able to supply sizeable overseas commitments. Other suitable hardwoods will be available for the PNG building market or export for specific orders.
